The Best Morning Habit

Aletha HinthornWhen David brought the ark of the covenant back to Jerusalem, he appointed worship leaders to give thanks and to praise the Lord. The Levites were "to stand every morning to thank and praise the Lord. They were to do the same in the evening" (1 Chronicles 23:30). God's presence would dwell in the temple in the midst of praise.
Perhaps that symbolizes the pattern God wants us to have in our lives.

A lady told me she has made it her habit to say to Jesus each morning when she awakens, "You are my Prince of Peace, my Deliverer, my Counselor..."

What a wonderful way to welcome His presence each morning.

Jesus, may praise to You be my first thought each morning.

"Your unfailing love is better to me than life itself; how I praise you!" (Psalm 63:3 NLT).

Conference Testimonies

I have attended many conferences in my lifetime, and retreats, and such like!  I have spoken for workshops, have spoken at women's ministries events, retreats, churches----but I have NEVER attended a conference that was such a blessing because the focus was totally on our Lord Jesus Christ---NOT the workers!!!   How refreshing---how blessed I was by that!!!!

Let me just say the fire ignited and next year we are already planning on chartering a bus for more of our women to attend.

It was very refreshing to attend a women's conference that proclaimed the message of holiness and applied it to my life as a woman. There is such hope in this message. While other conferences may be helpful, they don't leave one with the same confidence in God's ability to change.

 Memory Verse for July

"This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us--whatever we ask--we know that we have what we asked of him" (1 John 5:14, 15).
