Shielded by a Mother's Prayer

One morning the Lord led Shari to pray Psalm 91 for her children. That night her daughter was hit by a pizza delivery truck that was driving fast through a busy intersection. She was thrown so violently by the impact that the windshield was cracked. She then landed hard on the street.

Her brother and two friends were behind her and stared in horror as they watched the truck run over her legs.

Moments later, she was taken to St. Luke's hospital, where x-rays and a cat scan revealed absolutely no injuries!

Psalm 91 promises, "His faithfulness will be your shield" (vs. 4). God is faithful to prompt us to pray when He sees danger ahead. Fortunately, Shari was close enough to God to hear His prompting.

Thank You, Lord, that no protection for those I love compares with the shelter You provide when I pray.

"His faithful promises are your armor and protection.
If you make the LORD your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter, no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your dwelling. For he orders his angels to protect you wherever you go" (Psalm 91:4, 9-11).
