No Fears Necessary

One early morning as I drove to a meeting, I realized I had failed to have personal devotions. I was tempted to feel unworthy of drawing near God, but I remembered the blood Jesus shed and realized that even three hours of devotions wouldn't earn me a place in His holy presence. Because of the blood, with boldness I drew near and enjoyed communion with Him as I drove.

It is impossible for us to understand how much God longs for our fellowship.
God knew the price He must pay to secure the friendship of sinful man, but His heart so longed for us to be able to draw near Him at any time that, amazingly, He willingly paid the price--His only Son. Could this be the meaning behind Isaiah 53:10 that speaks of Jesus: "Yet it was the LORD's will to crush him and to cause him to suffer" (KJV).

These words make sense only when we understand that they express God's intense longing to have us near Him. Our nearness is so precious to Him that He eagerly paid the ultimate price for it.

We honor the blood and His love by confidently entering His presence with great boldness.

Thank you, Father, that I have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus" (Hebrews 10:19).

"In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence" (Ephesians 3:12).
