Emma Trusted Jesus

Emma and her husband were facing a desperate financial need. Emma said, "After struggling in prayer and begging God to supply the need, I realized that I wasn't getting anywhere."

While continuing to cry before the Lord, God sweetly and tenderly rebuked her. "Don't keep begging. Can't you trust me?"

"Lord," she cried, "I do trust you."

At that moment, she knew she did indeed trust Him to supply their need. She began to sing,

"'Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus,

Just to take Him at His word.

Just to rest upon His promise,

Just to know thus saith the Lord."

Emma reported that all their need was supplied! When they needed groceries, clothing, a car, gasoline, medicine, or money for rent, God provided.

It is trusting in Jesus that brings sweet peace and the answer to our prayers. God understands our cries and prayers and He wants us to know that He is the solution to all our needs.

Thank You, Jesus, for never failing to answer the prayers we pray with faith.

"Praise be to the Lord, who has given rest to his people Israel just as he promised. Not one word has failed of all the good promises he gave" (1 Kings 8:56).
