Come, Refining Fire!

God's visitations in the Bible were frequently symbolized by fire. His visitations still often come as fire--a purifying fire. I am longing for such a visitation.

Will you join me in praying for God to come as a refiner's fire? "Then suddenly the Lord you are seeking will come to his temple ... But who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand when he appears? For he will be like a refiner's fire" (Malachi 3:1-2).

God will come in response to our many prayers. E. M. Bounds wrote in Power Through Prayer, "Much time spent with God is the secret of all successful praying. Prayer which is felt as a mighty force is the product of much time spent with God."
If we seek Him with all our hearts, God will come.
