We are especially interested in first-person articles, approx. 750-1,200 words that show how Scripture was applied. Many Christian women understand what they should do but need godly role models.

To receive a sample magazine, please send $1.25 and a 9 x 12 envelope with three first-class stamps.
Editors of Come to the Fire evaluate a manuscript using the following criteria:
1. Can the focus of the article be supported by Scripture?
2. Does it meet our purpose of helping women who are intent on spiritual growth?
3. Is the focus maintained throughout the article?
4. Is it well developed and illustrated?
5. Does it have a unique approach to the subject?
6. Is it written in a natural style (avoiding triteness and clichés)?
7. Will it have impact?
8. Will the reader’s interest be maintained throughout the article?
Unsolicited manuscripts are accepted and should be typed, double-spaced, on one side of the paper, although we prefer a Word document attachment, including your name, address, phone number. You’ll be notified within 4 weeks of an acceptance or rejection. Please keep a copy of your manuscript. Enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope.
Come to the Fire pays upon publication for each article depending upon length and quality of article. Come to the Fire purchases either first rights, simultaneous or reprint rights. With payment we purchase the right to allow the articles to be also used on our web site.
