It's Time to Praise!
"Always be joyful....No matter what happens, always be thankful, for this is God's will for you who belong to Christ Jesus" (1 Thessalonians 5:16, 18). How could Paul make such a sweeping statement?
Even Joyful?
Dee and John's son, Don, became suicidal and was hospitalized for psychiatric treatment. His parents noticed he was not the same person after that. One day Dee and John got a call from a hospital in Minneapolis notifying them of terrible news. Don had taken his life.
Happy Thanksgiving!
On this day of thanks-giving, let's give thanks and enter into His holy presence. "Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name" (Psalm 100:4).
Don't Miss the Joy

Get Rid of Debris
I heard a mother tell about her son falling and getting a big gash on his leg. She washed the wound and took him to the doctor. The doctor shined his light into the wound, and she saw that the injury she thought was clean was still full of debris.
Maybe You Need a Break
Elijah's spirits were at the bottom. He had just prayed down fire from heaven and had 450 prophets of Baal slaughtered and what was his reward? The queen sent him this message:
"May the gods also kill me if by this time tomorrow I have failed to take your life like those you killed" (1 Kings 19:2 NLT).
Helen's Frightening Journey
In Living Faith, Helen Roseveare tells of finding herself driving a small van behind a huge truck on a 350-mile stretch in Africa. She tried to sound the horn to encourage him to find a spot along the narrow winding shoulder where he could pull off and allow her to pass. The horn failed.
